Looking for Partners

We understand that, even though you want to, it's difficult to make all 84 home games on the schedule. There are minor inconveniences such as work and family that sometimes get in the way of baseball. We feel your pain. So, we are going to rattle off some suggestions that will help you find ticket partners to share the joys of Giants baseball at SBC Park.

Bear with us. While some of these may seem obvious, they do work. These are the sacrifice bunt, the hitting behind the runner and the getting him home from third with less than two outs of partnerships. The fundamentals:

  • Email your relatives, friends and co-workers. A little salesmanship will go a long way. You will be surprised who comes out of the woodwork to join your group.
  • Create an ad on the Giants Ticket Partner Zone or any other popular Internet site that allows you to post free ads.

The Earl Weaver, a.k.a. The three-run home run of ticket partnerships:
  • Get creative. Put together 10 or 20 game plans and make a flyer or two. Put those fliers up at your local coffee shop, dry cleaner or little league field. Make sure to let the buyers know how you will handle special games such as the post-season and opening day. The key is that you retain the rights to the best of the best.

The Whitey Herzog, a.k.a. Small Ball:
Donate your tickets. Make a kid and your accountant happy at the same time. The Giants now make donations easier than ever. Go to the Ticket Relay site and follow the instructions for donations. We will handle the ticket transfer and will send you documentation for taxation purposes. You can also use the Double Play Ticket Window to donate full or partial proceeds of your Double Play ticket sales. Ask your Client Relations Executive for more information.

We hope these ideas help. If you have any tried and true methods that you care to share with us, e-mail the Giants at rkoplik@sfgiants.com so others can benefit from your genius.
