The Giants have presented a proposal to the Port of San Francisco that will transform "Parking Lot A" and the adjacent Pier 48 into a new destination along the waterfront, a place we call Mission Rock.

Mission Rock Park will be San Francisco's next great open space for our families. A sweeping 5.5 acre waterfront park will be the cornerstone of the network of open spaces along the central and southern waterfronts known as the Blue Greenway. Mission Rock Park will offer a variety of experiences from outdoor recreation and water-oriented activities to art festivals and open-air concerts.

As a prominent resident of the neighborhood, the Giants say they're well-suited and especially motivated to make sure it remains an active and vibrant community. That includes ensuring that an adequate level of parking is maintained for the new district, ballpark events and the UCSF Mission Bay campus.

We hope that you will join us in supporting this exciting new vision for San Francisco's waterfront. Please click on the subheading next to the press article labeled "Learn More About Mission Rock" to add your name to the growing list of supporters.
