About the Giants Community Fund

Giants Community Fund Mission Statement
Giants Community FundThe Giants Community Fund uses baseball as a forum to encourage youngsters and families to live healthy, productive lives. The Fund supports Junior Giants summer leagues throughout Northern California and collaborates with the efforts of the San Francisco Giants to provide assistance to targeted community efforts.

The Fund supports Junior Giants summer leagues, providing self-esteem and values training, along with baseball equipment, uniforms and instructional service, to over 13,000 boys and girls 5-18 years old who otherwise could not afford to play organized baseball across three states -- California, Oregon, and Nevada. Parents, volunteer coaches, and umpires place a higher value on character than on wins and losses, and with their help, the Junior Giants program prepares young people to be leaders in their community.

In addition to supporting public awareness campaigns such as Until There's A Cure Day and Strike Out Violence Day, the Fund also annually provides grants to charitable organizations that provide important programs in the following areas:

• Education/Literacy
• Health
• Violence Prevention
