Detailed instructions on connecting to the Giants WiFi Network

What is the Giants WiFi Network?
On Opening Day of the 2004 season, AT&T Park became the first professional sports venue to provide continuous universal wireless access to fans in all concourses and seating areas. Working in conjunction with AT&T, the Giants have installed 158 802.11b/g WiFi access points, creating one of the largest public wireless hotspots in the world. Fans who bring their PDA, iPhone, iTouch, laptop, PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable) or other WiFi-enabled device to the ballpark will gain free access to the Internet and the Giants Digital Dugout.

What do I need to connect to the Giants WiFi Network?
All you need is a PDA, PSP™, Palm, iPhone, iTouch or notebook computer with a WiFi-compliant (IEEE 802.11b or 802.11g) wireless Ethernet adapter and a Web browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer).

Who do I contact if I am having issues connecting to the Giants WiFi Network?
Please contact AT&T WiFi support at (888) 888-7520.

What types of wireless cards are compatible with the AT&T Wi-Fi wireless network?
Any card that has been certified for compliance with the WiFi wireless LAN standard (IEEE 802.11b or IEEE802.11g) can be used on the Giants WiFi Network. For a list of qualified vendors, visit the WiFi Alliance website.

What services are offered on the Giants WiFi Network?
In addition to Internet access, the Giants WiFi Network features the Giants Digital Dugout.

What is the Giants Digital Dugout?
The Digital Dugout is an interactive application developed by the Giants in conjunction with Birdsall Interactive, available to fans via the Giants WiFi Network or computers located in AT&T Park luxury suites. The Giants Digital Dugout is available exclusively at AT&T Park and has been designed to enhance the "fan experience" with unique content, including:

• "AT&T Wi-Fi Replay" Highlight Videos

• Real-time MLB.com Stats

• Interactive Games

• AT&T Park and Local Information

• Team Information

How much does access to the Giants WiFi Network cost?
There is no cost to access the Giants WiFi Network for the 2008 season.

Where in the ballpark can I access the Giants WiFi Network?
AT&T Park offers WiFi coverage throughout the entire facility, from the gates at Willie Mays Plaza to the waters of McCovey Cove.

What is the connection speed for wireless devices?
Between the access point and each WiFi-enabled device, most users typically experience speeds between 2 to 5 megabits per second (mbps). From the access point to the Internet, it will be a broadband experience.

Does the WiFi system know what type of device I'm using?
To optimize performance, some websites serve customers different versions of their site depending upon the hardware used (PDA, iPhone, iTouch, PSP™, laptop). Other sites do not have special versions for PDA users but allow scrolling of the screen to view content. The Giants Digital Dugout provides content optimized for laptops, PDAs, PSP™ or Palm devices.

Does the WiFi network capture any of my personal information?
No personal information is collected without the customer's knowledge. Purchase of services over the Internet will require credit card information and address, which is generally processed over standard web interfaces protected by SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and encryption of data to ensure security of data transmission.

Is the Giants WiFi Network protected by a firewall?
The Giants WiFi Network implements a firewall as an integral part of the Giants WiFi Network Welcome Page. Once the connecting process on this page is complete, no information is restricted, monitored, or blocked.

Why might I need to change my SSID for AT&T Wi-Fi, and how can I do so?
An SSID (Service Set Identifier) is a unique code that tells a computer which wireless network to connect to. The Giants WiFi Network is configured to broadcast an SSID that allows a wireless adapter/card to detect and use the Giants WiFi Network. If you are having difficulty connecting to the Giants WiFi Network, you may need to specify your SSID as "attwifi" (without the quotes, case-sensitive). Depending on the brand of the WiFi card, the SSID may also be known as the Network Name or ESSID.

Detailed instructions on connecting to the Giants WiFi Network:

• Make sure the SSID is set to "attwifi". This is case-sensitive.

• Open a web browser and request a public website (such as www.sfgiants.com).

• You will be redirected to the Giants AT&T Wi-Fi Welcome Page.

• Click through the "I Accept Terms and Wish to Connect" link and follow the instructions until you receive the confirmation page.

• You should be able to surf the Internet now via the Giants Digital Dugout.

• If you have trouble sending e-mail, change the outgoing mail server to mail.wayport.net.

• If you are unable to connect, contact AT&T Wi-Fi support at (888) 888-7520.
