The D-backs saw improvement from Kevin Mulvey in his third Major League start, with the right-hander allowing three runs in six innings but still taking the loss. Rusty Ryal created both Arizona runs by slugging an RBI triple and then scoring on Gerardo Parra's sacrifice fly.
