Petit has short night
Photos
Giants 6, Diamondbacks 2
Miguel Montero tries to settle Yusmeiro Petit in the third inning. (Ben Margot/AP)
The D-backs avoided getting shut out, but little else went right in their fourth straight loss. Yusmeiro Petit departed in the third inning after allowing five runs, including a bases-loaded walk, and until the two-run ninth, Arizona didn't have more than one runner in any frame.
