Veteran Francisco signed to bolster Triple-A outfield
Ben Francisco was designated for assignment by the Yankees on May 26 and was released on June 3. He hit .114 in 44 at-bats with the Yankees and had one home run.

Prospect Quackenbush moved to Triple-A
The Padres promoted one of their top relievers from Double-A San Antonio to Triple-A Tucson on Monday. Right-hander Kevin Quackenbush, ranked by MLB.com as the Padres' No. 18 prospect, makes the jump to the Pacific Coast League after going 2-0 with a 0.29 ERA in 29 games for the Missions.
