Braves welcome Twins for rare matchup in Atlanta
Other than an exhibition game before the 2011 season, all nine of Atlanta and Minnesota's meetings since the 1991 World Series have taken place in Minnesota. But that run will come to an end Monday night, when the Braves welcome the Twins to Turner Field for the start of a three-game series, pitting Kevin Correia against Julio Teheran.

Gardy opts for Carroll over Dozier in finale
Twins manager Ron Gardenhire went with the hot hand on Sunday, starting Jamey Carroll at second base over a slumping Brian Dozier against the Red Sox. Carroll batted leadoff for a second straight game after going 2-for-4 with a walk on Saturday.

Doumit, Willingham out of Sunday's lineup
Veteran sluggers Josh Willingham and Ryan Doumit were both held out of the lineup on Sunday against the Red Sox. Willingham is hitting just .103 (4-for-39) over his last 10 games with no homers, while Doumit was given the day off after catching in Saturday's slugfest.
