The San Francisco Giants have purchased the contracts of right-handed pitcher Kevin Pucetas, first baseman Brett Pill and outfielders Darren Ford and Francisco Peguero and added the four players to the club's 40-man roster, club Senior Vice President and General Manager Brian Sabean announced today.

The San Francisco Giants announced their 2010 Cactus League schedule today, which features a new Cactus League team, the Cincinnati Reds, whom San Francisco will play twice. Although there may be some more games added to the schedule, the Giants so far are slated to play 31 games this spring.

The San Francisco Giants have signed Senior Vice President and General Manager Brian Sabean and Field Manager Bruce Bochy to two-year contracts with club options for the 2012 campaign. Terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

Larry Jansen, a nine-year Major League veteran, who paced the National League champion New York Giants with 23 victories in 1951 while helping lead them to their improbable August and September comeback against the Brooklyn Dodgers, passed away Saturday morning, October 10 at his home in Verboort, Oregon. He was 89 years old.

Giants Enterprises, Project Open Hand and the city of San Francisco announced today that the annual Plate to Plate and Stadium to Stadium Runs will join forces with the First Annual Giant Race, which is scheduled for June 2010 at AT&T Park.

Prior to the Saturday, Sept. 26 contest, the Giants will commemorate Jonathan Sanchez's no-hitter game thrown against the San Diego Padres on July 10 at AT&T Park. A pregame unveiling of a bronze plaque along the Giants Walk of Fame will be held at 11:00 a.m.
