Cindy Donald, Braves team up again for "Cindy's Walks for Recovery"
The Cindy Donald Dreams of Recovery Foundation and the Atlanta Braves will team up again during the 2014 season for Cindy's Walks for Recovery, the unique fundraising program which debuted last spring.
Atlanta Braves agree to terms with 19 players
The Atlanta Braves announced today that they have agreed to terms with 19 players on one-year contracts for the 2014 season. Included in the group are right-handed pitchers David Carpenter, Cory Gearrin, David Hale, Juan Jaime, Aaron Northcraft, Wirfin Obispo and Anthony Varvaro; left-handed pitchers Luis Avilan, Ryan Buchter, Carlos Perez and Alex Wood; infielders Ernesto Mejia, Tyler Pastornicky and Elmer Reyes; outfielders Jose Constanza, Todd Cunningham and Joey Terdoslavich; and catchers Christian Bethancourt and Evan Gattis. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Lopez, Pursley & Maranville to be inducted into Braves Hall of Fame
Longtime Atlanta Braves catcher Javy Lopez, former head athletic trainer Dave Pursley, and former Boston Braves shortstop Rabbit Maranville will be inducted into the Braves Hall of Fame on May 23, 2014, at the 755 Club at Turner Field.
