  • Outdoor Hockey East doubleheaders headline Frozen Fenway's 2017 return

    The City of Boston, Hockey East Association, and Fenway Sports Management (FSM), today announced the return of outdoor competitive hockey to Fenway Park, with Frozen Fenway 2017, a two week series of hockey and ice skating events taking place at Fenway Park from January 4-16, 2017. Frozen Fenway will feature two marquee Hockey East men's college hockey doubleheaders, along with additional college and high school hockey games and a free public skating day for City of Boston residents.

    The Boston Red Sox today recalled right-handed pitcher Pat Light from Triple-A Pawtucket. To make room on the 25-man roster, left-handed pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez was optioned to Pawtucket following yesterday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Light, who will wear number 43, will be available for tonight's game at Tropicana Field beginning at 7:10 p.m.

    The Boston Red Sox today selected infielder Mike Miller to the active Major League roster from Triple-A Pawtucket. To make room on the 25-man roster, right-handed pitcher William Cuevas was optioned to Pawtucket following yesterday's game against the Texas Rangers.
