SAN FRANCISCO -- Outfielder Gary Brown and infielder Joe Panik, the Giants' last two top Draft picks, joined the group of 25 players named Wednesday as non-roster Spring Training invitees.Brown, the 24th selection overall in the 2010 First-Year Player Draft, earned California League Rookie of the Year honors last season while hitting .336 with 13 triples and 53 stolen bases for Class A San Jose. Panik, the Draft's 29th overall choice last June, led the Northwest League with a .341 batting average, 49 runs, 54 RBIs and a .401 OBP (on-base plus slugging percentage) for Salem-Keizer and captured the league's Most Valuable Player award. Right-hander Heath Hembree and catchers Tommy Joseph and Andrew Susac are among the other leading prospects who will be at Major League camp. Hembree compiled a 1.86 ERA and 38 saves in 54 appearances while dividing last season between San Jose and Double-A Richmond. Joseph, the youngest player in camp at age 20, led San Jose with 22 home runs and 95 RBIs last season. Susac was the Giants' second-round selection in last year's Draft and will make his professional debut this spring. Another intriguing performer in camp will be powerful third baseman Chris Dominguez, who amassed 32 doubles, 18 homers and 85 RBIs while hitting .266 last year for San Jose and Richmond. The contingent of non-roster invitees includes four Major League veterans: left-hander Brian Burres, right-hander Shane Loux, infielder Joaquin Arias and outfielder Gregor Blanco. Burres was a Giants draftee in 2000 and ascended through the organization before Baltimore claimed him off waivers in 2006. Besides Dominguez, Hembree, Panik and Susak, others making their debut in Major League camp include right-handers Jake Dunning, Justin Fitzgerald, Austin Fleet, Stephen Harrold, Mitch Lively, Seth Rosin and Shawn Sanford and left-hander David Quinowski. Catcher Jackson Williams, infielder Nick Noonan, outfielder Juan Perez, left-handers Wilmin Rodriguez and Matt Yourkin and right-handers Andrew Kown and Jean Machi complete the list of non-roster invitees. Williams and Noonan will be making their fifth and third consecutive appearances in camp, respectively. Joseph, Loux, Perez, Rodriguez and Yourkin have been invited for the second year in a row. Giants pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to camp in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Feb. 18. Their first workout will follow the next day. Position players are due to report on Feb. 23, with the initial full-squad workout slated for Feb. 24. San Francisco will open the regular season at Arizona on April 6.
