This Day in Baseball History:
September 19, 1973 > Davey Johnson of the Atlanta Braves sets a single-season record for most home runs by a second baseman. His 43rd blast of the year comes in a 4-1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers and surpasses the mark held by Hall of Famer Rogers Hornsby. Johnson will finish the season with that total, one behind league leader Willie Stargell.
