SF@ARI: Melky singles home Blanco in the third

Melky Cabrera keeps hitting. And hitting. And then hitting some more.

Not only did the Giants outfielder extend his hitting streak to 11 straight games Sunday, but he did it in a big way, collecting four base knocks. Cabrera will look to continue to swing the hot bat Monday against the Rockies.

During his streak, Cabrera is hitting .468 (22-for-47) with two doubles, three triples, a home run and six RBIs.

It will be up to young left-hander Christian Friedrich to slow down Cabrera. The 24-year-old will be making just his second Major League appearance. In his debut last Wednesday, Friedrich limited the Padres to just two runs, one earned, on five hits in six innings. His seven-strikeout performance earned him the win.

In his last outing, also on the road, Friedrich was the beneficiary of six runs of support. But the runs haven't been easy to come by for the Rockies, as the last time they have scored more than six was back on May 5.

Giants: Vogelsong looks to build on positive outing
Ryan Vogelsong gets the nod for the Giants. The right-hander is just 1-2 and San Francisco has won just two of his five starts. Vogelsong is coming off a positive outing, though, as he scattered eight hits in 7 1/3 innings against the Dodgers to pick up his first win of the season.

Rockies: Road woes continue
The Rockies have hit a swoon as they head down the homestretch of their eight-game, nine-day road trip. After dropping an 11-5 game to the Dodgers on Sunday, the Rockies are just 1-5 on the West Coast swing. The recent struggles away from home have dropped Colorado's road record to 5-10.

Worth noting
A full AT&T Park on Monday would mark the 100th consecutive regular-season sellout. The streak started with the final three games of 2010 and continued through the 2011 season. It is the longest streak in franchise history.
