Program Objective: Royals Charities will provide financial support to help improve baseball and/or softball facilities throughout the Midwest region. Royals Charities will match grants up to $5,000 to help small non-profit organizations and local government units that operate baseball and/or softball programs. The Royalty Fields Program is supported by the Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation.
Matching Grant/Size Purpose: Matching grants of up to $5,000 are available for major renovations of baseball and/or softball fields used primarily for youth.
Major renovations will include the upgrading of essential baseball field components including:

Eligibility: The program is open to any independent Midwest, 501Â©(3) not-for-profit organizations or local government units that operate a youth baseball and/or softball program in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, Arkansas or South Dakota. The average matching grant awarded is $5,000. Organizations that have secured funds not exceeding $5,000 may apply for a matching funds grant but should expect to receive a Royalty Fields grant award only in the amount that has been raised by the applicant organization if the application is approved by the Royals Charities Board of Directors. Organizations that have secured funds exceeding $5,000 may also apply for a matching grant but should anticipate the Royalty Fields grant award not to exceed $5,000 if the application is approved by the Royals Charities Board of Directors.
Application Process/Schedule: Qualifying organizations must complete an application and submit application and required documents to the Royals Charities Board of Directors. Applications will be accepted and reviewed throughout the year. Grant approval will be determined by the Board of Directors. Board meetings will be held during the months of March and October.
Applications must be mailed through the United States Post Office. Faxed applications will not be accepted.Additional Requirements: Grant recipients will prominently display provided signage recognizing program supporters and seek local media coverage for Grant Dedication Ceremony.
