Rockies in the Community

 >  Care & Share Program

The Colorado Rockies Care & Share Program gives seriously ill children the opportunity to watch batting practice while standing on Coors Field and to possibly get autographs from some of their favorite Rockies players and coaches. The children then get to enjoy the baseball game with their families. This program works with many dedicated organizations which work daily with these children. Some of the organizations referring the children are Children's Hospital Colorado, the Make A Wish Foundation, and the Starlight Foundation.

 >  Community Ticket Program

This program was started in 1993, to help many individuals, who would otherwise not have the opportunity, attend a Colorado Rockies baseball game. The Rockies continue to work with several non-profit organizations to donate an estimated 105,000 requested tickets. Please review the Request Guidelines to find out how to get your non-profit organization involved in this program.

 >  Make an Impact School Program

The Colorado Rockies "Make an Impact" Program is free program that brings the excitement of the Colorado Rockies to your school by holding a "Rockies School Rally." This school-wide assembly is designed to entertain students while showing them how to make an impact on their lives and communities by teaching them the importance of staying in school, refusing drugs, getting involved and respect. The 45-minute interactive program, which includes a video presentation, recorded player messages, a visit from Rockies mascot Dinger and prizes for all, is designed for grades K-6. For more information please contact Dallas Davis at 303-312-2373.

Guests of the BLUE Crew Tickets program enjoy an on-field experience at a Rockies game. (UMPS CARE Charities)

The Colorado Rockies partner with Major League Baseball umpires to offer memorable baseball game experiences for children awaiting adoption and at-risk youth in mentoring programs. Children receive a VIP experience including great seats to see the Rockies at Coors Field, a goody bag of 'all things baseball', and the unique opportunity to step onto the field for a souvenir baseball and photo.

UMPS CARE Charities, a 501c3 non-profit organization founded by Major League Baseball umpires, created the BLUE Crew Tickets program to share the gift of baseball with children and strengthen relationships between children and the adults who aim to make a difference in their lives. More than 4,000 guests have participated in BLUE Crew Tickets since 2006. Learn more at www.UmpsCare.com.
