Cook-Off for Cancer

Chicago is a city known for its love of sports and it's amazing culinary landscape. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of a very special fundraising event that features both.

On May 16, 2014, join the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation for its 2nd annual Cook-Off for Cancer which will feature upscale versions of ballpark food prepared by notable Chicago chefs and served by Chicago Cubs players. Guests will vote for their favorite Chefs and dishes by tipping their Cubs server. Ultimately, all tips and event net proceeds will benefit pediatric cancer research, care and support, a cause close to home for Anthony Rizzo and his family.

At the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation Cook-Off for Cancer, guests will enjoy great food, drinks, entertainment and mingling with interesting Chicagoans all while supporting an incredible cause. There will be an exclusive VIP reception with Cubs players and chefs at the start of the evening for Presenting and Triple sponsors. The event will take place from 6:00 to 10:00 pm at Revel Downtown, a brand new venue, and will attract guests from all over the city and suburbs, including local celebrities, business leaders, philanthropists and more.

THE MISSION - Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation

The Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization founded by Chicago Cubs First Baseman, Anthony Rizzo. Anthony realized during his own battle with cancer that no matter how difficult fighting cancer was to him, it was even more difficult for his family. Anthony believes that an individual does not battle cancer, but that the whole family does. The mission of the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation is to raise money for cancer research and to provide support to children and their families battling the disease. Every family deserves a fighting chance. This year, the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation will donate proceeds from Cook-Off for Cancer to Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation's Bear Hugs Program, Family Reach Foundation and Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.
